I can't explain why people with newer computers and more advanced graphics cards would be getting worse performance, lower framerates, and higher temperatures than I am getting. The game would be better if those things didn't happen, of course, but I am still able to enjoy the game just fine around them. There are some occasional stutters or FPS dips, and vary rarely there is a longer pause, but nothing that ruins the game. I have FPS locked at 60, and frankly I don't see much point to turning it higher (this isn't a multiplayer first-person shooter), but ymmv. Now the GPU is running in the low 80's, which is fine. I turned the settings down to a custom mix of medium and high, turning off some bells I didn't feel I needed (Bloom and Motion Blur).
